Kay Nebeker

Kay Nebeker died at home, with family on April 27, 2014. She was born in Vernal, Utah to Charles and May (Collier) Carpenter on August 13, 1923. She grew up in Vernal and graduated from Uintah High School. On April 29, 1943 she married Don Nebeker. They have been together for 70 years. For many years Kay was a police dispatcher and also worked as a office receptionist. Kay enjoyed sewing, painting, and remodeling her house. She loved teaching the gospel to teens and participating as a leader in the scouting program. Her greatest joy was camping spending time with and enjoying her family. She is survived by her husband: Don Nebeker; children: Charly, Jeri, Paul, and Gary; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and her sister Roberta Larsen. A Memorial Service will be held for Kay at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Murray 8th Ward LDS Chapel, 160 East 4600 South, Murray, Utah. Please come and share your memories.
