KC Erik Wise

K.C. Erik Wise passed away unexpectedly from a single car accident on Monday, July 11th, 2022 in Sandy Utah. K.C. was born on October 18th, 1972 in Orange Park, Florida to Steven O. Wise and Alana K. Brown-Wise. He was married to Elizabeth Marie Kidd Wise-Farnsworth on October 9th, 1998 and they remained married for 20 years. Together they had 2 daughters, McKinna Marie Wise (Astrid Poole and Elliott Quinn Wise) and Savannah Kae Wise. K.C gave everything he had to start his family in an unconventional non-traditional way by adopting his oldest daughter McKinna and then welcoming his youngest daughter Savannah after her miraculous conception. He loved his daughters deeply and spoiled them with all the pretty things

K.C. achieved his Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology at the University of Phoenix and earned additional accreditations and certificates in Information Security. K.C. loved technology and enjoyed working with his tech-nerd colleagues over the years. It was always K.C.’s aspiration and goal to work for the FBI to serve citizens of our country. K.C. was extremely patriotic and loved the United States of America, so much so that he had a tattoo of the flag of the United States on his shoulder. Though he did not ever get the opportunity to work for the FBI, he spent the majority of his career maintaining software and server hardware at the University of Utah Hospital providing lifesaving technology support for thousands of Utahns. He then transitioned to Novell in Provo Utah where he continued to work his technological career. Toward the end of his life, K.C.’s mental health shifted, and he continued to work, moving to Wal-Mart, and entered into a customer service retail position.

K.C. was loved by all who knew him. He had a fun-loving nature and a beautiful smile. He loved to play pranks on other people, and he would search the internet for lighthearted ideas and products to execute his jokes. K.C. suffered from manic-depressive bipolar disorder and struggled with the imposition he placed on people as a result of his illness. Despite this, he always thought of others and their needs. He always wanted the best for those around him. K.C. enjoyed the finer things in life including nice clothing, nice shoes, name brand watches, nice cars and nice meals and he shared those things with others at any opportunity. K.C. was kind, respectful, and always appreciative of service given to him.

K.C. was the oldest of the six children of Steve and Alana with siblings Misty Sullivan, Seth Wise, Josh Wise and Amber Farrington (Dean). When Steven married Susan Jordan Williams he acquired three more sisters, Jessie Williams, Alicia Bonilla (Luis) and Adrienne Jacobs (Dereck). His daughters

McKinna (Astrid Poole) and Savannah will truly miss their father. K.C. looked forward to being a grandfather when McKinna recently gave birth to his first grandson, Elliot Quinn Wise. There is a big hole in the family with the loss of K.C.

K.C. is preceded in death by his mother, Alana Kae Brown-Wise and his sister Tiffany Wise-Hickenlooper. We find comfort knowing that K.C. is having a wonderful reunion with his mother, sister, and other family members who have passed on before him. K.C. can now finally be himself again: happy, funny, kind, and loving. Services will be held at 8945 South 1700 East in Sandy Utah on Saturday, July 23rd at 11am at the Latter-Day Saint Church House. Condolences may be sent to K.C.’s family at 1560 East Granada Drive, Sandy Utah 84093
