Kendell Woodard

Our wonderful father, soul mate and friend, Kendell Woodard, 58, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2006 after a long battle with lung cancer. Kendell was born November 28, 1947 in Roosevelt,Utah to Ralph and Naomi Woodard. He was in the army as a young man and traveled to many places around the world. He was a carpenter for more than 35 years and would have done anything for anyone.
He was a man of very few words until the day he met Lori. She changed his life and they created a love unlike any other. She was also the one who took care of him during this struggle. She meant the world to him.
He had many talents including woodcraft, art, cake decorating and dancing. He had an amazing love for eagles. Many will miss his spectacular Christmas display at his home.
Kendell leaves behind his two daughters Brooke and Brandee, soulmate Lori Sawyer, brother Dale, sisters Barbra and Gloria. Also many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, his family, Lori's family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Naomi Woodard, twin brother Wendell, brother Ray, sister Jerri, son Brian and many others. Kendell would have wanted you all to know "God only cries for the living." He was always positive and fought his hardest to the very end.
A viewing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
