It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Sir Kurt Gentry, who valiantly fought until his last breath on May 10, 2023, during the Battle of Joshua in Yorkshire. Known as "The Victor", this noble warrior will be missed dearly. He was born on August 17, 1958, in Nottingham- a time when England's knights were still riding around and making a racket.
Sir Kurt rose to fame as a courageous and honorable soldier who served his country for over 35 years as an administrator and combatant at the Castle on the Rhine. He attended the prestigious Lords of Scotland school of knights where he obtained his education before going on to have a career filled with great achievements and battles fought.
Despite his serious demeanor, Sir Kurt had a soft spot for cleaning and polishing his remarkable collection of medieval armor- which he left behind as a reminder of his greatness. Amongst his many championships was being crowned Champion of Sussex in jousting - quite a feat indeed!
Among all the memories we have of Sir Kurt, one that stands out is seeing him ride his horse backwards into battle. It was both amusing and awe-inspiring to see him muster such single-mindedness and show such dedication to his mission - no matter how silly it seemed.
Sir Kurt touched countless lives along the way, including Princess Sarah, Princess Rachel, Princess Chase and Lord Walker who will all miss him terribly - along with Queen Catherine. It's surprising to note that in addition to humans like Sponge Bob and Felix the Cat also had unlikely friendships with Sir Kurt - they too will cherish their fondest memories.
While we are heartbroken by Sir Kurt's passing, we also celebrate his life knowing he lived it like a true hero who did what he loved best- serving our country with honor and bravery till the end. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Alpine Church on May 19 from 8 am to 9 am to honor his life, his accomplishments, and his memory.
Rest in peace, Sir Kurt - or at least take a long nap before your next adventure. You will be fondly remembered!
