Leila Kay Gillespie Menter

Kay Menter, 62 of Rocky Mountain Care in Clearfield, Utah returned to her heavenly Father and the loving arms of her Mother and sisters on July 22, 2013. Kay, her younger sister, and her Mother all fought the same courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's ( ALS ) Disease. She was born on May 13, 1951 in Ogden, Utah .She was the daughter of Sheldon P. Gillespie and Miriam Louise West Gillespie. Kay is survived by her Husband Bill Menter, her Father Sheldon P. Gillespie, One Brother Wade ( Jane ) Gillespie, Sisters Pamela ( Clifton ) Specht, Debra ( Bob ) Talbot, and Ronda ( Joe ) Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her mother Louise Gillespie, sister Rebecca Perkins, and two infant sisters. Cremation at the direction of Serenicare Funeral Home, Ogden, Utah. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Rocky Mountain Care and Rocky Mountain Hospice for the thoughtful and kind care Kay received and for their kindness to the family.
