Leslie E. Edwards passed away December 9, 2006 at Wasatch Valley Rehab in SLC. He lost his battle with Multiple Sclerosis in spite of his determination and strong will to live. Les was born April 15, 1951 to Earl L. and Enid Olsen Edwards in Gunnison, Utah. He graduated from Highland High School, and attended LDS Business College, the University of Utah, and The University of Phoenix.
Les was a faithful employee of Hinckley Dodge as Quality Control Manager in the Service Dept. for 7 years. He was president of the Utah Auto Dealers' Service Council for two terms. He was a member of the LDS Church and loved his calling as a Primary teacher. He had a great love for cars, sports, and NASCAR racing. His children shared his passion for NASCAR.
Les was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind his children and grandchildren who were his pride and joy: son, Kevin (Sara), grandchildren Mikayla and Brayden; daughter, Karyn; and his youngest son, Tim. He is also survived by his mother, his sister LaRee (Robert L.) Jackson, and nephews Todd and Tyler (Jamie) Jackson. His father preceded him in death. His family loved him deeply and unconditionally, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Wasatch Valley who cared for him and became his friends for many years, and also Inspiration Hospice for their compassionate care. Funeral arrangements are being handled by SereniCare, funeral directors.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Foothill 5th Ward , 1930 South 2100 East in SLC. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at the Gunnison City Cemetery.
