Linda Rae Moss

Linda Rae Smith Moss, a source of joy and love to so many who Associated with her throughout her life, passed away November 8, 2006, at the age of 58. Linda was born April 21, 1948, in Wagner, South Dakota, to Raymond Ernest Smith and Dorothy Mae Meyers.

Linda spent her childhood and youth in South Dakota, Wyoming, Oregon, and Colorado, and graduated from Fort Morgan High in Colorado. She came to Utah in 1966 to attend Brigham Young University, and has made Utah her home ever since.

Linda worked for Salt Lake City Corporation for 28 years as an operator and a process control analyst for all three water treatment facilities in the city. She was very active in the Utah Water Quality Alliance and gave numerous presentations and training sessions on the city, state, national and international levels. She has received several awards and honors for her outstanding contributions. She retired in July of this year. Linda also managed her own private business, Linda Moss Manufacturing/Deblin Leather, for over 25 years. Hundreds of work associates and friends were touched by her cheery disposition and gracious manner.

Linda was a great friend. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, and her sister Lani Sue Teijen. She is survived by her father Raymond of Hillsboro, OR, and her three sons Robert Harold, Mark Henry, and Russell Howard. In addition she is survived by her siblings D.J. (Roberta) Smith of Orem, UT; Mark (Louise) Smith of Grand Junction, CO; Allen Smith of Grand Junction, CO; and Marlene (Bill) Wright of Fruita, CO.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the LDS Lee Ward at 3805 South Main in Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held one hour before the services at the same location. Interment will take place following the services at the Orem Community Cemetery in Orem, Utah.
