Liston Wendy S. Geanetta

Our beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, Wendy S. Geanetta-Liston, 53, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona surrounded by her loving family. Wendy was born May 22, 1959 in Pueblo, Colorado to Joan Sloan. She married her sweetheart, John E. Liston in Tempe, Arizona on May 24, 1992. Wendy graduated from Arizona State University Summa Cum Laude, the highest academic distinction, in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She obtained her CPA in 1983. Wendy devoted her time to her family, which meant the world to her. Wendy's passion for her family has been expressed by the scrapbooking she loved to do. Wendy also loved cooking for her family, reading, and sewing. She was enthusiastic about traveling and enjoyed the outdoors as expressed by her love of gardening, hiking and camping. Wendy is survived by her husband, mother, her sons, Ben (Jessica) Geanetta and Sam (Katie) Geanetta, stepsons, Andrew (Kelly) Liston and Michael (Joanne) Liston, and grandchildren, Rochelle, Emma, and Brooklynn Geanetta, and Brody, Elliott, Georgia, Campbell and Tatum Liston, all of Phoenix, AZ. Wendy is also survived by her siblings, Jerry (Rebecca) Sloan of Cripple Creek, CO, Doug (Eva) Sloan of Phoenix, AZ, Cindee Spinuzzi of Sun City, AZ, and Kennie Jo Sloan of Glendale, AZ, and a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Dayspring United Methodist Church, 1365 E. Elliot Road, Tempe, Arizona. The reception will be held immediately following.
