Loren Dale Greer returned to his Heavenly Father and loved ones on October 9, 2013 after a valiant and lengthy battle with numerous health issues. Loren was born May 19, 1937 in Las Animas, Colorado to Jesse (Ted) and Myrtle Greer. At a young age his family moved to Sunny Slope, Idaho where he attended Sunny Slope elementary and graduated from Marsing high school where he played baseball, football and basketball. Loren married his high school sweetheart Glenda Lankford and they just celebrated their 59th anniversary. Loren served six years in the Idaho National Guard where he served as a platoon sergeant. The majority of his life, Loren was a self-employed small business owner specializing in designing and manufacturing livestock handling equipment. Loren enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, camping, hunting and fishing. Loren was active in the LDS church where he served in many capacities including scout leader, bishop and high councilman. He is survived by his wife Glenda and sons Ron (Jolene), Steve (Carol), Kevin (Alecia), Brent (Jalee), Brad (Lori), 24 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. He also survived by his brothers Duane and Ted. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister and granddaughter. Services will be Saturday October, 12 2013 at the Nibley 10th ward with viewing at 10am and services at 11am. 2825 South 1000 West, Nibley, Utah. Interment at Milville cemetery.
