Margaret Lorretto Norfleet

Margaret Lorretto Norfleet, age 62, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 23, 2015, in Orem, Utah, after a long battle with a lung disease. She was born on May 28, 1953 in Washington, D.C. to Reginald Norfleet, and Theresa Norris. Maggie is survived by her mother, Theresa Norris, sister Robin Braziel, brother Jason Norris, and children Christopher Miller (Jen), Crystal Jeffcoat (Randon), Steven Steggell (Megan), Thomas Steggell (Holly), Johnathan Steggell (Chanda), Casey Steggell (Ashlee), Kayla Walden (Wyatt), Vanessa Johnson (Thayne) and eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her infant son Cody Steggell, brother Reginald Norfleet, and sister Stacey Norris. Maggie loved any activity that let her spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing games, and going for long rides. She earned a degree in Business, but her proudest accomplishment was her children. Her love for them and her grandchildren was the reason she fought her illness for so long. Beyond that she was a mother figure to many others, which gave her the nickname "Mama Maggie". She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. On June 26, 2015, a viewing will be held for family and friends from 10:00am -11:00am with a private family viewing from 11:00am -11:30am at the Timpanogas Stake Center located at 810 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, UT. The funeral services will proceed at 11:30am in the chapel of the stake center. Following will be an Interment at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery located at 500 North Main, Pleasant Grove, UT. The family would like to express special thanks to all those who gave loving care and friendship to Maggie over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations towards funeral costs would be acceptable.
