Margaret Elaine Alseth Tryon

Margaret Elaine Alseth Tryon, 84, passed away Dec 13, 2006, at her home in Ogden, Utah, surrounded by her loving family, who were celebrating Christmas with her on that day. She was born Sep 17, 1922, in Rochester, Minnesota to George M. Alseth Sr and Fern Leona Fenton. She grew up in Rochester and graduated from Rochester HS in 1941. She married Robert William Tryon of Wilkes Barre, Pa on Jan 30, 1945, in St Paul. In 1942 she hitchhiked to Salt Lake City, Utah, and got a job in a plant making ammunition. She just wanted to be involved in the war effort. It was in Salt Lake she met her future husband who was a Drill Sergeant and they had one daughter. She loved to have lunches with her friends, play card games, especially Canasta, with her grandchildren until the wee hours of the morning. She also loved "do it yourself home improvement projects". She had so many tools and gadgets and loved working with them. You never told her "it couldn't be done" because she would prove you wrong. She was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by daughter, Gwen Heaton (Charles), Grandchildren, Mark, Shawna Heaton (Russell Nalder), Sherri Lockwood (William), great grandchildren, Shaylin, Shandra, Karissa, Shaun, RJ, Neisha, Shai-anne, Christian, Kierian, and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, George Jr and Carl, sister Diantha, and oldest grandson David. Viewing here in Utah will be at Mt Lewis 5th Ward RS Room, 550 E 900 N, Ogden, Ut, Wed Dec 20, 2006 from 6-8 PM. In California at the Arlington Mortuary, Riverside, Ca, Friday, Dec 22, 2006 from 10 AM until 12 PM. Internment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Ca on Dec 22, 2006 at 1:15 PM.
