Marta Ester Edwards

Marta Ester Edwards died suddenly on Tuesday, January 30. 2018 at Utah Valley Hospital. She was born on April 28, 1946 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Pedro Monico Nemesio and Nelida Elizondo Nemesio. She earned two doctorate degrees for Accounting and English.

Marta was a loving mother and caretaker to all. She ran the non-profit, Manna for Children. Her home was known as the safe house with an open door, a warm meal, and a place to rest your “neck”, as she would say. She enjoyed music, cooking and dancing.

Surviving Marta are her children and grandchildren: Carlos Edwards; Peter (Aileen) Edwards, their children: Olivia, Lorenzo, and Isabella; Chris (Erin) Edwards, their children: Jessica, Dougie, Makenzy, and Sophia; Eric (Jazmine) Edwards, their children: Tyler, Tara, Teigan, Kayden, Tatiana, Tamyah, and TeVante, their grandson, Tison; Robin Blaze Thurber; granddaughter, Kimberlee.

A funeral service will be held at the Lake Ridge 5th Ward building, 950 South 50 East, Orem on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 12:00 Noon. A time for visiting and support will be held at the church building on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
