Maxine Clark Lowder

Our wonderful mother left for her eternal home on February 10th to reunite with her sweetheart just in time for Valentine's Day. She was born in Pocatello, ID on March 6, 1932 to Roy and Lea Clark. She and her sister, Marlene, grew up in a very happy home in Burley, ID. There she met the love of her life, Eldon Lowder. They were married November 9, 1946 and were inseparable until he was called home just three months ago. Mom was a nurse in the Idaho Falls area and was highly regarded for her fine patient care. Throughout her entire life she blessed our family with that extraordinary care. After moving to Salt Lake, her talent as a very fine interior designer blossomed and she won many awards in the Salt Lake Parade of Homes for her beautiful work. She then joined forces with our father, building a successful business with the colon hydrotherapy equipment that he designed. She spent countless hours and many sleepless nights helping anyone who sought her out for comfort and compassion. Hundreds called her friend, but her biggest fans called her Grams. Mom was always a missionary. Being a faithful Latter-Day Saint, she was continually trying to better the lives of others by offering peace and hope. Mom had great faith in the Lord and knew he had a plan for her and her family. She held many callings, but her greatest calling was that of "Mom". She and Eldon took great joy in watching their family grow and accomplish wonderful things. We'll miss you, Mom! We love you so much! She is survived by her three children, Loni Lowder (Ana), Debi Poulsen (Bryan), and Larry Lowder, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister, Marlene Zimmerman and her family, countless Lewises and her beloved dog, Spot. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 15th from 6-8 pm and Saturday from 10 - 10:40 am at the River Rose LDS Ward Chapel, 13122 S. Herriman Rose Blvd (approx 5400 W - north of the "UP" house), prior to the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment at Herriman City Cemetery.
