Melza Beth Clyde Gramoll, age 84, died on January 4, 2014, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on March 15, 1929 in Berkeley, California, to Harry and Elizabeth Clyde. She married Robert Edward Gramoll on February 4, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Melza graduated from East High, in Salt Lake City in 1946 where she was president of The Girls Association. She attended the University of Utah and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS degree in Physical Education. During her college years, she was involved with numerous clubs and organizations. She taught math and physical education in Murray, Centerville, and Bountiful, Utah. She also helped computerize the family business, Gramoll Construction. She volunteered for many organizations including the Theater Guild and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She had many interests such as sewing, painting, and knitting, but above all else, she was a loving and supportive wife and mother -- always putting others' interests and needs before her own. Melza was active in the LDS Church serving in many callings through the years including serving as a Salt Lake Temple ordinance worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Gramoll, and brother, Scott Clyde. She is survived by her sons, Kurt (Junko) Gramoll and James (Sharla) Gramoll; daughters, Terry (Scott) Carlson and Claudia (Ken) Snyder; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers Robert Clyde and Allan Clyde. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:30 AM at the Elk Hollow Ward, 4275 So. Bountiful Blvd., Bountiful, Utah with a viewing prior to services from 10:00-11:00 AM.
