Michael John Keith, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, in Provo, Utah, due to complications of liver disease. He was 76 years old.
Born on December 30, 1948, in Provo, Utah, Mike was raised in a loving home by his parents, James and Josephine Keith. He grew up alongside his siblings and graduated from Orem High School. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.
Michael made his home in Orem, Utah, with his dear wife, Christine, of nearly 55 years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. He is survived by Christine and their two children: Michael (Geri) and Jason (Chelsea); as well as nine adored grandchildren: Eric, Creig, Korbyn, Jake, Payton, Carter, Parker, Cooper, and Pyper. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy (Pete) Perides.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Josephine, and his brothers, Jairus and Larry.
Those who knew Mike will remember his bright blue eyes and warm, genuine smile that made everyone feel loved. He had a playful heart, often teasing his grandchildren and loved to get a rise out of them. An avid sports fan (Go Vikings!) and outdoorsman, Michael enjoyed playing golf, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. Some of his fondest memories were made camping with his family and friends. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren, always supporting their passions—sometimes with a bit of bribery.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22, at 11:00 AM at Provo City Cemetery (behind the mausoleum). Family and friends are welcome to join in remembering and honoring a life well lived.
Michael’s legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will live on through those who loved him. He will be deeply missed.
