Miriam Jean Stewart (Bishop), 74, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2021.
Miriam was born on October 28, 1946 to Dean and Ione Bishop. She grew up in the Salt Lake Valley with her brother, Kerry. She attended college at the University of Utah and later married Joseph Stewart in the Salt Lake temple and had three daughters.
Miriam was often found outside gardening and loved playing the viola. She was a member of the Salt Lake Symphony orchestra for many years and enjoyed listening to classical music.
She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse, along with many loved cousins and other family members. She is survived by her brother, Kerry Bishop (Les), her daughters Angela Seaman (Richard), Michelle Cloward (Jared), and Miranda Malone (Patrick), along with her grandchildren (from oldest to youngest) Braden, Christian, Alyssa, Danielle, Logan, Tyler, and Chase.
Whenever she could, Miriam would be at the Hogle Zoo with her grandkids. In her honor, we will be having a memorial installed at the zoo and the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to this fund through the Venmo link @MMaloneRN
Miriam, you will be missed but we know that you are in heaven playing the viola and enjoying being free from the constraints of this physical realm. May you know how loved you were.
