Nadeen Shaw Brunson

Our wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend Nadeen Shaw Brunson was called back to Our Heavenly Father on November 22, 2023, at the age of 84. She peacefully departed this life to move on to new adventures with her new wings. She fell in love at a young age and was married to the love of her life Jaren Brunson for over 65 years.

Nadeen leaves behind her husband Jaren, children Gayle, Jerry, Basil, Lans (Carol), Alana, JB (Denise) Travis (Nicole). She also helped raise her grandsons, Justin, Christian and Diesel Along with niece Penny and Nephew Todd. There are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind sisters Karen, Evelyn, Rena (Larry) and brother Keith.

Those who preceded her in death include sons Calvin and Thad. Siblings Lans, Mary, Janice, Lana, Christine, grandparents Ren and Lil, parents Lans and Evelyn, Cousin Mike and dear friend Donna.

Nadeen loved her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She adored spending time with them. Holidays and Birthdays were greatly enjoyed and always celebrated. Reading and crocheting are favorite things she loved doing. She gave away many of her beautiful crochet doilies to family and friends. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed trying new things, taking care of people and having her family close.  She was quite a practical joker. You had to be quick-witted or watch out. She always enjoyed sharing a good joke even if it was sometimes wildly inappropriate. She always loved to have a good laugh with friends and family.

After joining Facebook and learning how to use it, she found several friends she grew up with, made new friends and was able to create long lasting friendships with people all over the world. Her memory will live on with us and she will remain in our hearts forever until we are all reunited.

She had a strong faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and she knows that the Lord lives. She would find comfort listening to the church hymns and Primary Songs.

Nadeen had a few different jobs throughout her life.  Most highly achieved position was Chief Engineer (in all things), as Chaos Coordinator better known as Homemaker Extraordinaire.  She worked with Dunford Bakers as self-titled Quality Assurance Tester and Éclair Specialist. She loved licking the chocolate off the parchment paper after the chocolate donuts were done.  Working in Customer Service position with HertzTruck Rentals, then onto Sure Appliance in the Front Office and Accounting positions. Her favorite job of all of them was her Receptionist/Appointment Setting position with FHP.   Nadeen enjoyed working with people in general. Always willing to help someone out.  She loved the people she got to meet and work with.

A special Thank you to Dr. Reagan Schaplow (Primary Care Doctor), Lindsey Tucker (MA/Nurse) for all the love, compassion, dedication and friendship that they gave to Nadeen till the end.

We also want to give thanks to all the staff at Lincare Group. We can't express our appreciation for your dedication, compassion and extra service you always provided for Nadeen.  We appreciate you all so much. Many thanks and blessings to all people who had a part in providing care for Nadeen.

If Roses Grow in Heaven

If roses grow in Heaven,

Lord, please pick a bunch for me.

Place them in my mother's arms

and Lord tell her they're from me.

Tell her I love and miss her,

and when she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek

and hold her for a while.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it every day,

but there's an ache within my heart

That will never go away.
