Nancy L. Emery passed away September 21, 2017 in Ogden, Utah. Nancy was born on August 1, 1949 to Joyce Miller and Leslie Field in Ogden, Utah.

Nancy spent her childhood in Utah, California, and Arizona. She graduated from Mesa High School in 1968. While she was young her mother married Clement Williams. From this marriage she gained three siblings, and a new father. The three siblings she gained are Dianne, Orlando, and Marta. They are very close to each other and loved each other very much.

Nancy married Dale Frankis in 1971 in the Mesa, Arizona temple. From this marriage came three children to them; Kevin, Merlin, and Laura. The family resided in Sacramento, California where Nancy would provide in home daycare services while Dale supported the family as a lawyer. California was very special to Nancy, but soon her life would move her to Utah. After a divorce from Dale, she moved to make her home in Salt Lake City.

Nancy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed her life in the church and would serve in many capacities in it. Her associations with many in the church spanned many years and different areas of the valley. From her home in the Riverside area of Salt Lake to the Escalante Branch to the many care centers she lived in, she would always stay in touch with her faith. She appreciated her membership and her family wants to thank all those who accepted her at church and helped her continue to go even when her health failed.

Nancy loved music and especially to sing. She loved to do musical productions and she loved the beauty of the earth. She enjoyed learning new things and spoke of her family constantly and wanted them to get along and especially for her children to be close. She loved her cat Baby and dog named Shelby.

She lived a life that was miraculous beating the medical odds numerous times in her lifetime. Her final days were spent at the Washington Terrace Care Facility where she made numerous friends and associations.

Nancy is survived by her sons Kevin (Katherine) Frankis, and Merlin (Denise) Frankis. She is also survived by her daughter Laura (Robert) Rosson. She had three grandchildren; Alena, Alyssa, and Marilyn. She is survived by her brother Orlando (Cleova) Williams, and sisters Dianne Lofgreen and Marta Rogers. She has numerous nieces and nephews who survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and stepfather.

A memorial service will be held September 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Escalante Branch at 1040 N. Redwood Road.

Additional thanks should be given to her brother Orlando Williams who was her right-hand protector in these latter years. No sister could have a better brother. Thanks also to the Ogden Regional Medical Center and other medical angels at the end of her life.
