Nancy Kay Moore

Nancy Kay Moore was born on April 6, 1936 in Cumberland, Maryland to Nancy Katherine Lyons and Joseph Vincent Keolker.  

She attended John Nevens Andrews Elementary School and Takoma Park Academy in Tacoma Park, MD where she graduated as valedictorian of her class.

She went on to Pacific Union College and Loma Linda University in California, graduating with a BS Nursing in 1959.  Kay continued to work as a registered nurse in long-term care and home health until her retirement at age 70.

On November 4, 1962, Kay married Marvin Leroy Moore.  They had 2 children.

Over her lifetime, Kay lived in 9 states: Washington DC, Maryland, California, Montana, Michigan, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, and finally Utah.

Kay was committed to Christ as her Savior and was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Kay is noted for her intelligence, intuition and resilience.  She had determination and was a hard worker.  Her great sense of humor kept her young.  Her children remember her motherly devotion.  She had a lifelong passion for bird watching, had a lovely voice and was a member of various choirs.  She also enjoyed walking, hiking and traveling.

Nancy Kay Moore was preceded in death by her parents and brother.  And is survived by her daughter Sheri Moore, son Barry Moore, daughter-in-law Lisa Joss-Moore, and granddaughter Mia Moore, of Salt Lake City, UT
