In Loving Memory of Naya Marin
August 20, 2002 – May 30, 2026
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Naya Marin, who peacefully passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 23.
Naya’s journey was unlike any other. Born with complex medical challenges, she faced life with a strength and resilience that inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she was nonverbal and relied on others for much of her care, she communicated in ways that transcended words. Her presence spoke through her smile, her laughter, her expressions, and the joy she brought to those around her.
For 23 years, Naya was the heart of her family. She taught lessons that cannot be learned from books—patience, compassion, resilience, unconditional love, and the importance of celebrating every small victory. She reminded us daily that a meaningful life is not measured by what we can do, but by the love we give and receive.
Naya loved music, bright colors, lights, laughter, and being surrounded by people who loved her. Her eyes would light up when she heard familiar songs, felt the energy of those around her, or experienced the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She had a special way of bringing people together and helping them see what truly matters.
While her medical condition made her life fragile, Naya’s spirit was anything but. She touched countless lives, including family members, friends, caregivers, medical providers, teachers, and everyone who had the honor of caring for her. Through her, many learned the true meaning of selfless love, devotion, and grace.
Naya is lovingly remembered by her father, Jetro Marin; her mother, Raquel Marin; her brother, Ezra Marin; her sister, Kenia Viveros; as well as her extended family, dear friends, caregivers, and all those whose lives were forever changed by knowing and loving her.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are deeply grateful for every moment we shared with her and for the extraordinary gift of being her family. We choose to remember Naya not for her limitations, but for the joy she brought into this world, the connections she created, and the love she inspired.
Our sweet Nayita will forever be missed, forever loved, and forever a part of us. Her beautiful light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
“How lucky we are to have loved someone who makes saying goodbye so hard.”
