Ng Yuk Ching Wong passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, in her home. She turned an amazing 100 years old back in April of this year. Born in China in 1926, she and her husband, Wah, had two daughters in China.
Wah immigrated to the United States in the 1940s and worked many years away from his family before he was able to bring Yuk and their two daughters to the United States to join him. They settled in the small rural town of Vernal, Utah, where they spent the majority of their lives. During their time in Vernal, the two helped raise two of their eldest daughter's four children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wah. Yuk is survived by daughters Shun Yee (Kam Yu) Chang and Cathy (Sam) Quang; grandchildren William (Elly) Chang, Louis (Cindy) Chang, Hang Chang Wong, Wen Yin Chang, and Derby (Sarah) Quang; and great-grandchildren Caleb Chang, Mei-Lin Chang, and Chloe Quang.
