Listen to Obituary

Owen Lane Chartier, born December 18, 1965, was called home to the Lord on February 2, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank; his mother, Betty; and his brother, Bill. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Rebecca, his sister, Becky and his four children: Dixie, DeLana, Jennifer, and Calvin as well as grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Owen lived a life defined by service, curiosity, and devotion to his family. In his youth, he loved his dirt bike. He raced frequently, and dreamed of being a motocross champion. After a tragic accident at 16 he was no longer able to pursue that dream, but owned many motorcycles. Over the years, he wore many hats—father, husband, law enforcement officer, pilot, Mesa Airlines operations manager, Transportation Security Officer with the TSA, drone pilot and entrepreneur. One of his proudest accomplishments was founding Tow U Later in 2017, a successful tow company through which he helped thousands of people.

Owen had a God-given gift for bringing joy to others.. A kid at heart, he always found joy in life and shared it freely. He never met a stranger and would gladly take the time to smile, talk, joke, and laugh with anyone he encountered. A natural critical thinker, Owen loved figuring out how things worked and could repair just about anything. If you had a problem, he was one you could count on to show up and help..

While we grieve his passing, we find comfort in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that Owen now rests in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.

There will be a gathering of loved ones on Friday, February 6, 2026  following the viewing at a location to be determined. A celebration of life will take place in summer 2026.
