Patricia Hewitt

Little Richard once said: ' I never accepted the idea that I had to be guided by some pattern or blueprint.' Anyone who knew Pat understood she lived and has now died on her own terms peacefully in her sleep after a 4 year battle with renal failure. July 30, 1950- January 4, 2014 She is Survived and will be missed greatly by her daughter Kelly (Shannon), her pride and joy granddaughter Jordynn, Jesse, Sister Linda (and family) and her still bowling at 85 mother Norma Jean and all of her dear friends she loved. Pat Moved to Utah in 1978, raised her kids, took care of her father, and just recently in 2013, for the first time ever, lived on her own at Legacy Village Apartments where she met and befriended some great people! Pat loved the tax season and seeing her clients, Playing cards (and she was quite the cut throat player!), Wendover trips & playing penny slots, visits with family from Alaska, watching her children, granddaughter and furry grands grow, vacations with family, especially the Maui trip to celebrate her moms 80th birthday in 2008. Pat Did taxes 30+ years and owned her own business in South Jordan. She lived for the tax season. Pat will always be remember for her bright smile, sense of humor and generosity; she loved saving people money and sharing it just as much! She is preceded in death by her Brother Kurt Gilruth, Grandmother Hazel Marie Gilruth, Father Richard Gilruth, and nephew Shaun Robert Gilruth all whom she hopes to reunite with. A very heartfelt thanks to Chris Goodwin for treating Pat like family and never going back on your word, the morning coffee girls at Legacy, IMC nurses, Wasatch Dialysis, Kristine and Lezlee from Eclipse Home Health, the entire staff at Compass Rehabilitation and Advocate Hospice; your tender mercies were a blessing! At Pats request no formal services will be held--quite boldly she stated NO please celebrate and EAT because she loved a good lunch break from the grind!
