Salt Lake City Utah — Paul truly made the world a brighter place. Paul entered the world on November 16. 1945, out in Colorado, and from day one, he shared a special, loving bond with his mom, Teresa Marie Lettig. Life took him on quite the journey from his Colorado roots. After bravely serving his country in the US Navy, which included an honorable tour during the Vietnam War, he eventually made Salt Lake City, Utah, his cherished home.
It was during his Navy days, stationed on the beautiful island of Guam, that destiny played its hand and introduced him to the love of his life, Lydia Borja. They built a wonderful life together, raising a beautitul tamily right there in Salt Lake City. Paul was incredibly proud to be a father to four amazing kids: Teresa, Mike, Rick, and Mark. His family was his absolute universe, and putting them first wasn't just a choice; it was his entire way of being.
Later on, he embraced his role as a doting grandpa to five wonderful grandkids: Sysco, Tanner, Ashton, DeziLu and Lydia. He cherished every single moment he got to spend with them.
But beyond everything, Paul lived and breathed hot rods and kustom cars. It wasn't just a hobby for him, it was his passion, his lifestyle that he pursued to the end.
His big, generous heart extended to his beloved furry companions too. He absolutely loved his dogs, like Louie, Kombat, and Ziggy, who were just a few of the lucky pups to share in his endless affection. Paul was a genuine person and friend, it you spent any time with him, you almost certainly heard his classic line,
"Hey boss, want a cold one?" usually followed by the opening snaps from cans of a couple of Bud Lights.
On March 2nd, 2026, our dear Paul peacefully departed this world. He was surrounded by the love of his family, comfortable and at peace. While we'll miss his physical presence immensely, the incredible memories, laughter, and boundless love he shared will forever be etched in our hearts. He truly left an unforgettable mark on us all, he will always be missed and remembered.
