Raheem Donte Whittaker

Raheem Donte Keith Whittaker, 27, born July 27, 1995, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, in Salt Lake City Utah.

Raheem was born to Maria Denise  (Whittaker)  Moton and Steven Keith Glover in SLC Utah. Raheem is preceded in death by Grant and Alberta Whittaker, his loving and supporting grandparents.

Raheem is survived by, Maria, his mother, his three siblings, Jamaica, Wisdom, and Treasure, and many extended family members Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and an inclusive variety of friends and acquaintances.

Raheem was a charming, and “Whitty” young man. He was quick on his feet and free-spirited. He had an unquenchable joy and zeal for life. His capacity to love was immensely vast and selfless.He was known to literally give someone the clothes off his back. He found contentment with very little for himself but loved to see others prosper.

He was an intellectual philosopher, a lover of reason and justice, an avid reader and lover of books of every kind, a quality nurtured and founded through his Grandmother Alberta, he was a walking library. He expressed himself with the writing of poetry and rhymes on the topic of the human condition and his life experiences. His knowledge made for an excellent and intellectual conversationalist on a variety of topics.

In reference to one of his favorite songs by Kid Cudi, "peace he has finally attained and the deep pain no longer remains an end to all those restless days and nights, the Lonely Loner has finally freed his mind".

Raheem's service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Serenicare Funeral Home, 2281 South West Temple. A celebration of life is to be announced in early 2023.
