Ramon Gale Ellis passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 19, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 29, 1930 in Park City, Utah to Raymond Owen and Alvagail Sorensen Ellis. He Married Rosanna Ottillia Foy on February 4, 1952. Ray and Rosie had four children (Rodney, Annette, Gaylon and Jolene) who they loved very much. He was a great father and grandfather and will be loved and missed greatly. He loved to be busy and spent countless hours puttering in his garage making Christmas gifts and doing special projects for Rosie. He loved the outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, target shooting, but his favorite, above all, was riding his horse. Nothing made him happier than going to Duchesne, riding his horse up Sowers Canyon and visiting family and friends there. He shared his love for hunting and target shooting with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his family and would have done anything he could for them. Ray and Rosie were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and spent much of their lives serving in callings in the LDS Church. They were loved and appreciated by those they served. He missed his "Rosie" so much when she passed away a year ago. How grateful we are to know that they are reunited and enjoying their loved ones that went on before them. He is survived by his brother Jerry (Carol), son Gaylon (Annette Lilie), two daughters, Annette Taylor and Jolene (Dennis) MacKay, 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rosanna, Son Rodney, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Welby 1st Ward Chapel, 9376 S. 4000 W., West Jordan, Utah. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday Evening, August 27, 2015, and at 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Both viewings will be at the Welby 1st Ward building also. Interment will be at the Heber City Cemetery.
