Rhetta May "Patsy" Brown, died at Manor Care in South Ogden on March 12, 2014. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on April 6, 1937 to Houston and Hattie (Rogers) Burns. On January 20, 1955, she married William R. Brown. He died in a car accident in 1970 along with one of their sons, Thomas Michael Brown. After the accident, Patsy moved with her surviving sons, William Daniel and Timothy Wayne to Utah where she graduated from Weber State College in 1978 with an Institutional Certificate of Practical Nursing. With her degree she began working at McKay-Dee hospital in the orthopedic unit until retirement. Patsy loved reading and cooking. She was a great mother and will be missed. Surviving Patsy are her sons: William Daniel Brown and Timothy Wayne (Judy) Brown and her grandchildren: Michael, Misty, David, Kylie, and Lacey. In addition to her husband; son, Thomas; and her parents; Patsy was preceded in death by her siblings: Claude and Charles Burns; and her lifelong best friend, Charles' wife, Sue. A memorial service for Patsy will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 880 28th Street, Ogden, The Reverend Dr. Richard Minnich presiding.
