In Loving Memory of a Beloved Father: Ronald Anthony Franklin Sr.

July 21, 1973 - July 14, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Franklin, a cherished father, beloved son, devoted friend, avid collector, and sports enthusiast, who departed from us on July 14, 2023. He was a beacon of love, joy, and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on July 21st in 1973, Ron Franklin was a man whose presence brightened every room he entered. From a young age, he developed a passion for football, and his talent on the field was undeniable. Throughout his school years, he played the sport he loved, creating unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships. Even after high school, he carried with him the camaraderie and sportsmanship that defined his character.

Beyond his athletic prowess, Ron had an extraordinary capacity for friendship. He was a social butterfly who enjoyed spending time with his friends, often venturing out on the weekends to create new adventures and cherished moments. His infectious smile and warm demeanor brought comfort and happiness to those around him.

However, above all else, Ron was a devoted father. He leaves behind 5 children. Ron Franklin, Claudia Franklin, Patrick Franklin, Shawn Franklin, and Aaron Appleton. His love for his children knew no bounds, and his presence in their lives was a pillar of strength and support. He taught them valuable life lessons and encouraged their dreams. His children were his pride and joy, and he relished every moment spent with them.

In addition to his adoring children, Ron leaves behind a legacy of love through his six grandchildren, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life. Nariah Franklin, Armani Franklin, Malichi Franklin, Emily Wiesen, Demetrius Franklin, and Anthony Franklin. He cherished each of them, embracing the role of grandfather with unmatched enthusiasm and tenderness.

He also leaves behind a mother who loved him more than life itself. Ron was an only child, and the only son in his family. Growing up it was just him and his mother. The bond that Muriel and her son shared was truly special.

As we mourn the loss of Ron, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life he led and the love he shared. His memory will forever reside in the hearts of his family and friends, a beacon of light guiding them through life's journey.

A memorial service to honor and remember Ron Franklin will be held Tuesday July 25 from 8:00pm to 10:00pm at City View Mortuary. We invite all those whose lives he touched to join us in commemorating the life of this remarkable man.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown their love and support during this difficult time. Let us come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable father, friend, and cherished member of the community.

May Ronald Anthony Franklin Sr. rest in eternal peace, knowing that his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
