Rose Jeanne Howell

“Family is not who we are related to by blood but those that truly care and show you how much you are loved and make you feel like every ache and pain you have they also feel, just because they love you..Hold the people that mean the most close to you and make sure to always tell them you love them....So to my "family" I love you all!!
-Rose Howell 07/07/2010
Our beautiful mother, our sweet angel, Rose Jeanne Howell, 60, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2017. Rose was born in Murray, Utah to Patsy and David Hiatt on January 27, 1957. Patsy later married T. Devon Howell and he became Rose’s father through adoption.
Rose was preceded in death by both of her father's, David Hiatt and T. Devon Howell, her brother Todd Howell, her sister-in-law Sharon Howell, her niece-in-law Cindy Howell, and step-granddaughter Savannah Hardy.
Rose is survived by her mother Patsy Howell, brothers Tate Howell, Tyler (Danene) Howell, Chris Howell, Reese Howell, Rulon Gery Hiatt, Benjamin Hiatt, Nathaniel Hiatt and her sister’s Ginger JeVon, Babette Leko, and Ann Mason. Son’s Tory (Jen) Shaw, Ryan (Kelly) Maxwell, and daughter Brandy (Jan) Maxwell. Grandson’s Zackery, Kenyon, Skyler, Jordan, Hunter, Rowdy, Jaden, Ashon, and granddaughters Adia (Mihaela) and Shyan. Former husband James A. Maxwell and step-daughter Laci (Kris) Maxwell Mitchell and step-grandson Derringer. Former husband Jack F. Sanchez and step-children Michael (Julie) Sanchez and step-granddaughters T’Kaya and Kiara, Nathan Sanchez and step-granddaughter Alaya, and Rylan (Natasha) Sanchez.
Our beautiful, perfect mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, cousin…..so much to us all. Rose loved to paint, draw, and croche.  She loved making jewelry and wearing jewelry.. She had a great love for rock music, some of her favorites were Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks), Prince, and Tom Petty. Her expressions of love were always shared through love, laughter, and words of authenticity. She loved giving gifts and showing her experiences in life. She was always so proud of her children and grandchildren. She was always one to encourage and inspire, and loved to hear about everyone's accomplishments.
She was so particular about everything. Everything has its place and that is where it goes. She loves beauty and found it in so many things. She surrounded her home in all of her precious belongings in which she acquired throughout her life from people that loved her so. Everything that was made or gifted to her was a reminder of love that she held onto as a treasure of love that she held close to her heart. She loved beautiful flowers and fairies. She loved passionately and showed everyone she knew what unconditional love is. She was always worried about if she did enough, said enough, or said too much. She was very empathic and always shared in the joy or sorrow of others. She taught her children and grandchildren to be empathic, and how to see the world through everyone's perspective instead of just their own. She had many obstacles in her life and was a sensitive and fragile flower that often felt broken in life but fought viciously to be there for her family whom she loved with every ounce of her being. She was always the one to go to for the best advice anyone could ever provide. If you were ever in need of an ear, she was always there to listen.
Oh our beautiful, precious mother, words cannot say how much we love you. While we sit here in your home, packed full of your precious memories, we see just how deeply you loved. We now see why this world was so hard for you to be in at times, because your heart was so big, and your love so unchained, that it was probably almost impossible to keep it from bursting.
“How precious for such a young child to have so much empathy! Sadly there doesn’t seem to be near enough of it in our world today”

Rose was very grateful to have her family around her in the last months of her life…….She was so proud to see her family and always asked about the good things going on in our lives. She was so happy to be surrounded by such a loving family. As she lay to rest now, she will look upon us with great love and confidence knowing that we will all carry on her strong legacy of love.
You’ll always be remembered for all the beauty and love you shared in our world. May your spirit be with us…..WE LOVE YOU!
