Rose Perchelli

Rose Perchelli, 87, passed away on December 30, 2013, peacefully at the Rocky Mountain Care Center.

She was born in Newfield, Pennsylvania on June 3, 1926 to Julia and Joseph Solomona. She married Edward Perchelli in Ford City, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1947. They moved to Layton, Utah in 1948 and that became their permanent home.

She was a wonderful wife and loving mother. She loved to cook her Italian food, her favorite was making her homemade pasta, which will sorely be missed by all. Rose enjoyed gardening, especially her roses. Dancing and singing, along with her laughter will always be remembered. She loved making many afghans for her grandchildren. She loved playing bingo and the occasional trip to Wendover. Rose worked as a volunteer for the old St. Rose Catholic Church serving in many functions, helping those in need. She later worked for Davis Lanes as awaitress making many friends who will miss her.

Rose is survived by three daughters: Sandra (John) Hanson, Carol Drake, and Debbie (Leo) Ricard; grandchildren Christopher, Dustin, Andrew, Amber Rose, Gabrielle Julia; great grandchildren Nicholas, Dominic, Alana Rose; sister Mary and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ed, her parents, brothers Nicky and Joseph, sisters Christine and Marge.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday January 2, 2014 at 2 pm at Aaron's Cemetery (Clearfield City Cemetery), Main St Clearfield, UT.

The family would like to send a special thank you for all the love and care given to Rose from the many friends and caregivers at Rocky Mountain Care Center.

Her great sense of fun, humor, and strength will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
