Samuel R Johnson

Samuel R. Johnson, 83, of Placentia passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born November 27th, 1933 at home in Beaver, UT to Samuel W. & Flossie Johnson. He graduated from Beaver High School and attended the U of Utah earning a degree in Business. He married Dorothy Myers and they raised 4 Children.

His successful career in floorcovering sales eventually brought him to CA in 1978. He was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed his years and friendships with the Imperial Golf Assoc. “serving as the last president”. He loved socializing, traveling, music, and his family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy of 59 years. He is survived by his children, Samuel R. Jr. and wife Sherri, Kerry Victor and wife Susan, Jennifer and husband Clare Wixom, and Suzanne J. Knight, 14 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. He was greatly loved and will be immensely missed by family & friends.

Funeral Services will be held at the LDS Chapel, 210 W Livingston, Placentia, Friday March 31, 2017. Viewing 9:30-10:30, Service 11:00 a.m. Graveside service April 3rd 1:00 p.m., Beaver UT.
