Sandra was born September 8, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald Ernest Quick and Marleau Charvoz Quick. Sandra passed away May 22, 2020 after an extended illness. Sandra is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Christopher Martinez, children, Gary and Emarie Martinez, parents Don and Marleau Quick, sister Donna (Scott) Atkinson, brother Charlie (Valory) Quick, and grandchildren, Christopher, Claire, Timmy, Tony, Louis, Taya and one on the way, in-laws, Ralph (Linda) Martinez, Trish (Jody) Whitaker, ten nephews, and five nieces. Sandra was preceded in death by her grandparents, and her beloved chihuahuas, Huey and Mini.
Sandra and Chris met while attending South High School. After her graduation they married January 25, 1979. Together they built a life with their two children. She loved her family above all else, and was happiest being around her grandchildren, baking, playing barbies with Taya, and supporting them in everything they did. She had the kindest soul, biggest heart, and not a mean bone in her body. She was always there to greet Chris when he got home with a big smile. Her wicked sense of humor kept everyone on their toes and continuously laughing. She took care of every person and animal she met, especially her two cats, Livy and Kitten. She looked forward to summers and going swimming with her grandkids. She had the remarkable ability to connect deeply with everyone she met. Sandra was an unbelievable baker, she poured her love into everything she made, and you definitely tasted it. All who had their life touched by Sandra will tell you they could go to her for anything; a laugh, a cry, a confidant, a mom, a friend, and without a doubt for some decadent desserts.
Due to COVID-19, a private memorial for immediate family only will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020.
The Family would like to thank everyone for their kind and thoughtful condolences
