Sharlit Lucille Moore Rowberry passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born to Betty Lucille Gaudio and George Sharett Moore, Sharlit pursued her education with determination, graduating from Provo High School before continuing her studies at the College of Southern Utah, Utah Valley University, and Brigham Young University, where she earned her bachelor's degree.
Her greatest joy came from being a mother, and she poured her heart into raising her five beautiful daughters: Tawny (Clay) Winward, Marcia (Jamie) Macsisak, Nicole (Scott) Mansfield, Lucille (Jake) Lambert, and Sheryl (Craig) Hornberger with unwavering love and guidance. Family always came first in Sharlit's life, and she dedicated herself completely to nurturing and supporting those she loved.
Sharlit dedicated her career to early childhood education, operating a preschool in her home and later working with HeadStart. She had a special love for all children, particularly her students and her own family.
She was actively involved with 4-H and Girl Scouts for many years, sharing her love of learning and growth with young people in her community. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she found joy in serving in various callings, including Cub Scouts, Primary, Activity Days, Young Women's, and librarian.
Sharlit loved painting, crafting, making handmade cards, and sewing. Her appreciation for the arts extended to her love of music, theater, and curling up with a good book.
She found great enjoyment in her garden, where she grew both flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed sharing her harvest with family and friends, and regularly canned fruits and vegetables. Her yard featured a pond with fish, and she loved watching the birds that visited. Every time someone came to see her, she would walk them through her yard, showing them what she had been growing and the wildlife she enjoyed watching.
Sharlit's love multiplied through the generations. She is survived by her five daughters, 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Lynn (Linda) Moore, Dennis (Kristen) Moore, Jan (Bruce) Dolen, Liz Lowder, and Mary Russon. She was preceded in death by her parents Betty Lucille Gaudio (David Lloyd Williams) and George Sharett Moore (Sara Lucille Shafer) and great-grandson, Colin Alexander Valencia.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Jordan Hansen, Aspen, and the entire staff at Courtyard at Jamestown for their exceptional care and compassion. They have been wonderful to work with and took excellent care of Sharlit during her time there.
