Sharon Lee Blackburn

Sharon Blackburn, 69 years old of Herriman, Utah, passed away June 26, 2016 at the University of Utah hospital due to complications from surgery. Sharon was born in Pasadena, California to Francis J. Dutkus and Barbara VanSandt.

She graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She was recently retired from a long career as an Insurance Claims Specialist for Nationwide Insurance. She was very involved with her church and enjoyed serving as a temple worker and a teacher for the young Primary children. She also enjoyed movies and spending time with her grandkids.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father and mother.

Sharon is survived by her four children: Cory Blackburn of South Jordan, Utah, David Blackburn of Waverly, Nebraska, Amy Blackburn of Costa Mesa, California, and Diana Blackburn of Herriman, Utah; grandchildren: Alyssa, James, Natalie, Braden, Emma, Audrie, Jack, Sophie, and Chloe; and siblings: Cathy, Gail, Tom, and Roberta.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the LDS Chapel at 12737 South 6000 West, Herriman, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
