Sharon Kay Martinez, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on April 10, 1961, in the same city she called home all her life.
Throughout her life, Sharon found joy in simple ppleasures such as fishing at Millhollow Reservoir, camping, hunting, and taking trips to Wendover and Lava Hot Springs. An avid supporter of the Utah Jazz, she cheered passionately for her favorite team.
One of Sharon's proudest accomplishments was her family. She poured her heart into raising her children and supporting her husband Joe Martinez. Sharon also took pride in fulfilling her responsibilities within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A devoted homemaker who also spent ten years at Arnold Machinery,
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband Joe Martinez, their children Joe Steven/Robert Tina, Leslie, Mariah, Victor, and Zackeree, as well as grandchildren Bentley, Dean, Jaxi, Tora and Jiraiya. She is also survived by her sister Susan (Bill) Wright and brothers Blaine (Marilyn) Stonebraker and Brent Stonebraker.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Bonnie; brother, Bob and daughter, Holly.
In the hearts of those who knew her best, Sharon leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will endure for years to come. May she rest in peace.
Sharon's life will be celebrated at a Funeral Service May 1, 2024 to be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 934 West Fremont Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84104.. The service will commence at 11:00 AM and will be a time for family and friends to honor her memory. She will be interred at the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
