Sharon Twede Orton

Sharon Twede Orton surrendered her mortal body January 6th, 2007 in Cottonwood Heights, UT after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's to be with her Father in Heaven.
Sharon had a passion for life and was loved by all that new her. She loved teaching primary children, tole painting, hand work and enjoyed cooking. She loved to read and and taught her children to have that same love. Sharon was very talented and shared her talents with others.
Born June 30, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lawrence F. and Mary Virginia Harper Twede. She graduated from Granite High School and attended college in the Salt Lake area. She worked for Valley Bank and Trust for over 20 years. She married Duane Orton December 1, 1960. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She is survived by her husband Duane K., son Troy (Tammy) Orton, daughter Traci (Don) Miller, seven grandchildren, brother Bill (Jerri) Twede, mother in law Althea Friadye, sisters in law Emmadee Houston, Merle Orton, brothers in law Jackie Dee and Walace B. Orton. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Loraine, a niece and a great-niece.
A special thanks to Dignity Hospice and Odessy Hospice for their love and care of Sharon.
Sharon was loved dearly by me her husband and I will miss her. Her family also loves and will miss her. Thank you sweet heart for the years together. We will be together again someday.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Wasatch 4th Ward Chapel, 8170 Short Hills Drive (3425 East) with a viewing Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the church and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Park.
