Vickie (Petrlich) Nicholls loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend returned to her Heavenly home on September 14, 2013 at the age of 70. Vickie was born on August 20, 1943 to Camilla and Joseph Petrlich in Logan, Utah. She met and married her sweetheart and best friend Larry C. Nicholls in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 21st 1963. Then came their children; 2 daughters and a son. They were blessed with ten grandkids and eleven great grandchildren. Family meant everything to Vickie, her family was her life, her whole world. Larry and Vickie loved to do everything together and rarely left each other's side and were almost always joined by their faithful companion Coco Marie. She helped found Discount Tire and worked there until she retired. They both enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends. They shared many incredible memories traveling the world together, visiting 6 continents and over 100 countries. Some of their favorite spots include Rome, Kauai, and Hong-Kong, there isn't a place in the world that they don't share a memory. Vickie was up on all the latest sports including Horse Racing, Football, Golf and Bowling. She loved playing cards with her friends and swimming in her pool. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always brought laughter into the room. She made every holiday magical with elaborate decorations and surprise visits from Santa Clause. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween, she loved hosting parties and surrounding her house with loved ones. One of her greatest passions was enjoying fun filled weekends with her children and grandchildren. Vickie loved to tell stories as she baked her famous applesauce chocolate chip cookies. She loved shopping with her kids and grandkids, always keeping them up to date on the latest fashions. Vickie's greatest gift was her ability to help all those around her and listen and comfort her friends and family. She made fast friends with perfect strangers and was a longtime friend to everyone around her. Vickie was generous in all that she did. She loved people and devoted her life to family and friends and making memories with them. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Camilla and Joseph Petrlich and Maria and George Q. Waddoups, and her granddaughters: Amy and Alexis Nicholls. Vickie is survived by her Husband, Larry C. Nicholls; her children: Christie (Steve) Stock, Clint (Lanae) Nicholls, and Billie Jo Nicholls (Michael) Glabe; grandchildren: Joshua (Daniel) Stock, Natasha (Shawn) Davis, CJ Nicholls, Nikyla Stock, Colton Nicholls, Tyler Glabe, Lindsey Nicholls, and Lauren Glabe; her sister, Myra (Les) Nickel; brothers: Nick (Jolynn) Petrlich and Tony Petrlich; and her eleven great- grandchildren: Jesse, Savannah, Alexis, Ava, Cooper, Maddison, Addison, Saylor, Cash, Summer and Kayden. Funeral Services will be held at 10AM Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Cliffside 1st Ward Chapel, 1380 East 25 North, Logan UT. A viewing will be held from 6:30- 8:30PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 and on Thursday morning from 9-9:45 at the Cliffside 1st Ward Chapel, 1380 East 25 North, Logan UT, for all of those who wish to say goodbye.
