Vivian Jane Millikin

Vivian Jane Angelos Peterson Millikin, gentle sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother and friend, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on November 9, 2006, at the age of 79.
Vivian was born August 25, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James B. Angelos and Mabel Hansen. She married Clayton E. Peterson. They later divorced and she married Robert C. Millikin. Children: Larry (Orlinda) Peterson, Michael (Charlene) Peterson, Terry (Jim) Jenson, Kathy Hawks, Debby (Kevin) Lowham, Lindy Millikin. Together they enjoyed twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
She is survived by her brothers: Bill (Susie) Angelos, James Jr. Angelos, Tom (Candy) Angelos and sister: Carol Burell,. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Millikin, her parents, sister Patricia Angelos, and brother Paul Angelos.
Vivian lived in the Salt Lake Valley until 1985 when she and Bob moved to Granite Falls, Washington to manage the Masonic Park. They served there for 15 years before retiring in Fredonia, Arizona. Vivian was still full of life at the age of 70 and 71 when she went sky diving. This excitement for life was cut short in May of 2006, when she was diagnosed with a terminal glioblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Vivian's life was her family and close friends. She spent her days planning birthdays and anniversaries, (which she NEVER forgot), holidays and special events. She especially loved the Christmas season and always planned something special to bring all her loved ones together. Even during hard times in her own life she always focused on easing someone's burdens, taking family, and anyone else in need, into her heart and home. She started life with very few advantages, but created a life of love and friendship all around her. Vivian was a gentle, patient soul, always the peacemaker, showing unconditional Christ-like love to everyone. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
At this time the family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the special family members and friends, as well those at CareSource, who lovingly comforted and cared for Vivian during her final days.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at the LDS Cottonwood Heights 4th Ward, 2520 E. 6710 So., at 12:00 noon, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the services. Interment at Memorial Estates 3115 East 7800 South.
