W. Powell Smith

W. Powell Smith passed quietly away July 2, 2022 Sandy, Utah.  He was borrn May 14, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Walter and Hazel (nee Powell) Smith.  He received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and enjoyed a lenghty career as a singing teacher and sales representative for the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Utah Symphony/Utah Opera Company.  

Powell was passionate about opera and classical singing.  He was extremely quick-witted and always entertaining.  

There will be a Funeral for Powell, Friday, July 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located at 9757 S 1700 East, Sandy, Utah 84092.  

His friends would like to extend a special thank you to the caretakers at the Alta Ridge Assisted Living of Sandy.
