Wendie Ann Wilkerson Carter

Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend, Wendie Ann Wilkerson Carter lost her battle with Cancer on September 6th 2014 Surrounded by her family. Born on November 29, 1956 to Wiley and Janice Wilkerson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Highland High School in 1975. She loved life and was a great inspiration to everyone. Although her battle with cancer was brief, She left a lifelong log of research as she had her body donated to science to find a cure for cancer. Wendie is survived by her four children: Cindy (Mark) Yourston of West Valley City, Utah, Rebecca (Chris) Loyd of Modesto, California, Billy (Lynette) Carter of Peeples Valley, Arizona, and Kimberly Richardson of North Salt Lake City, Utah; siblings: Vickie (George) Uliberri of West Jordan, Utah, Julie (Rick) Johnson of Kearns, Utah, and Randie (Bonnie) Wilkerson of Saint George, Utah; 17 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. At this time the family would like to thank Horizon Hospice Specialists for the amazing job they did taking care of her in her final months of life, As well as SereniCare Funeral Home for the respect and dignity they showed her and the family after her passing. Funeral services will be held on October 16, 2014 From 6-8 pm at the LDS Church located at 4322 South 5400 West in West Valley City. A donation jar has will be set up at services with donations going to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Wendie's name. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN MOM, KNOW YOU'RE ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS.
