William Thomas Anderson

William Thomas Anderson, also known as Tom, passed away on January 30th, 2024 at the age of 73, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in California on December 4th, 1950, Tom had a zest for life that was truly remarkable.

Tom had a deep love for the ocean and spent many joyful hours surfing its waves. He was also a dedicated cement truck driver, working hard to provide for his family. When he wasn't working, Tom enjoyed camping and spending time with his loved ones, creating cherished memories.

On December 7th, 1974, Tom married the love of his life, Renee. Together, they built a beautiful family, with two sons from Tom's previous marriage and two daughters of their own. Tom was a devoted husband, father, and Papa, always putting his family first. He worked tirelessly to provide for them, and his family was his number one priority.

Tom had an infectious personality that drew everyone to him. He had a great sense of humor, was kind-hearted, and always had the best stories to share. His grandchildren looked up to him and considered him one of the most important men in their lives.

Tom proudly served in the Army, contributing to the safety and security of our great nation. His dedication and commitment to duty will always be honored and remembered.

Professionally, Tom had a successful career as a ready-mix driver. He took pride in his work and always ensured that he delivered the highest quality service to his customers.

When he wasn't working or spending time with his family, Tom enjoyed working on cars, watching Nascar races, and passionately cheering for his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace and then Brad Keselowski once Rusty retired. He was an avid football fan and a loyal supporter of the LA Rams. Tom also had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the works of Bob Dylan. He often found solace in his garage, singing along to his favorite tunes while enjoying a Miller High Life beer. Tom was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends with their automotive questions.

Tom had a sweet tooth and delighted in indulging in his favorite treats, such as mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate-covered cherries or milk bordeaux from See's Candy.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Renee, his stepmom, Anita, his children Jeremy (Jessica), Jason (Josie), Wendy (Sean), and Brooke (Bryan), as well as his grandchildren Brayden L (Kayla), Victoria (Tim), Brayden T, Autumn, Jazmine, Kayla, Jason, Tyler, Jared and great-granddaughters Evelyn and Elaina. He is also survived by his siblings Ken (Chris), Carol (Barry), Richy (Jill), Mike (Kim), and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Margene, his father Kenneth, his stepfather Richard, and his brother Jeff.

Tom will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will live on through the stories and love shared by those who loved him.
