William Byron Brooks

Born December 8, 1956 in Stockton California. Died August 15, 2018 in Salt Lake City Utah. Preceded in death by Delbert Lewis Brooks (1995) and Leila Juanne Tinnin Brooks (2014) his parents.

Leaving behind wife, Leslie Barron Smith-Brooks, 7 sons and their wives or girlfriends, 14 grandchildren with 2 more on the way; sister, Penny and husband Boyd Meeks; brother, Gerald Brooks and wife Marlene; brother, Mike Brooks and wife Karen; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, a great niece, and friends.

Bill joined the United States Air Force in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1980. In Wyoming, Bill worked at the Allied Chemical Mines. In Salt Lake City, he worked at Donna’s Tours and LeBus. Bill was working for LW Miller, based in with Logan, when he became permanently disabled in 2012.

A Memorial will be held in the cultural hall at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Meadow Ward building, 1955 West 400 North, Salt Lake City. Respectful casual dress per Bill’s wishes. September 1, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Bill asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his family to help with needs. Sympathy cards can be sent to Leslie Smith-Brooks PO Box 16212, Salt Lake City, UT 84116.
