Willis Earl Converse

Willis Earl Converse July 4, 1938 - February 24, 2013 Willis Earl Converse was called to heaven to join his beloved wife Carol; February 24, 2013. He was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, July 4, 1938; the eldest son of Willis C. and Beulah A. Converse. He married Carol L Leatham June 1st, 1960 in Shelley, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple on December 3, 1982. Willis served in the National Guard from December 23, 1954 to January 17, 1955. Willis joined the Navy July 21, 1955 until receiving an honorable discharge July 20, 1963. Willis truly enjoyed being with family and friends and just appreciated life. Willis loved the outdoors; camping, riding four wheelers and basking in the sun reading. He was an avid reader and was always seen reading a book or even a couple of books at a time. Willis was a dedicated and faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. He was a happy fun loving person; and was always teasing someone, whether it was a family member or one of his friends. Willis worked hard side by side with his wife Carol for over 42 years in the moving industry. Willis is survived by his children, son Doyle (Barbie) Converse, daughter Corinna (Clark) Jones, and son Curtis (Janine) Converse. Sister Vera Jo "Shirley" Robinson. Grandchildren Brooke (Marcus) frame, AAron Converse, Joshua (Kelsey) Jones, Dannielle Jones, Hayden Jones, Rebekah Converse, Jacob Converse, Jordan Converse, and Sarah Converse. Other survivors include great Grandchildren Kaden Frame and Berkeley Frame. He was preceded in death by his parents Willis C. Converse and Beulah A. Converse, wife Carol L Converse, brother Eugene N. Converse and grandson Jordan T. Jones. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11am. Viewing prior to service for friends and family at 10:00 am. Kearns Utah East Stake Center located at 4731 South 4300 West Kearns, Utah 84118. Interment will be Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Hillcrest Cemetery - Shelley, Idaho at 12:00pm
