Francisco Chavez

Francisco Chavez passed away on April 18, 2021 in Ogden, Utah.  He was born July 14, 1959 in Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico to Mariano Chavez and Virginia Bautista.   He married Dalila Perez in Amaxac de Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Mexico on July 11, 1981.   They had four children: Sem Chavez, Virginia Flores, Sarita Morton and Isaac Chavez.

Francisco wanted the best for his family he wanted the American Dream for his family they migrated to the USA 30yrs ago. He was a hardworking man, he loved to serve the Lord, he was the Men’s Director at this church and also enjoyed playing the bass guitar.  He currently worked in residential apartment maintenance.  He loved and enjoyed working at The Falls he would tell us how much he liked working with a great team. He is certified with NSPF in pool-spa maintenance. He was a member of the Chaplaincy Ministry Vision International Leadership Network.  He loved reading books, listening to music, camping, gardening, and cutting the grass.

He is survived by his wife Dalila Chavez, his four children and 8 grandchildren: Ruby Chavez, Pearl Chavez, Amber Chavez, Isabella Flores, Violeta Flores, Carolina Flores, Elijah Morton, and Kailub Morton.  He is also survived by his brother, Cirino Chavez and sister, Soledad Garcia.  

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Iglesia de Dios Nuevo Nacimiento, 3104 Porter Avenue, Ogden, Utah 84403.
