Linda Ann Bishop

Linda Ann Bishop was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 28, 1945 and passed away in Farmington, UT on May, 5, 2021 at Legacy House Park Lane after an extended illness. She was 75.

She grew up in old Hollywood where her father and uncle worked on studio film crews and she  loved sharing her dad’s stories about working with movie stars. Linda too, had an artistic soul  and loved expressing herself through painting, writing, theatre, and photography. She had a  varied and unconventional career path after graduating from BYU that included teaching at  Kearns High School and Weber State, producing and directing for stage, television, and radio,  and then later in life, she felt called to ministry. She graduated from Fuller Theological  Seminary and began her second career as a pastor serving at several different churches across  the country before retiring in Florida.

Linda loved traveling and visiting friends across the US and exploring other countries. She  especially loved Paris. She was accompanied through this life by a variety of 4-legged family  members who included Babe, Jerry Lewis, and Yogi. She loved sweets and prided herself on  throwing her annual chocolate extravaganza.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Clara Bishop, her older brother, Donald, a  favorite Aunt Lynn, and several dear friends. With such a small family who had been gone for so long, she made her own family of former students, cast members, church friends and co workers. She is survived by her “Circle of Love”; a group of these friends who have cared for  and watched over her the past several years.

A memorial service will be held later in Florida. Donations can be made in Linda’s name to  United Church of Christ New Smyrna Beach, FL https://www.uccnsb.org/ or any local  organization who foster dogs. Through such a group, Linda’s beloved Yogi was able to find  another home when she was no longer able to care for him.
