Obituary

“Elvis has left the building!”

A Letter to “Pa”

Dad after speaking with many of your amazing friends over the past few days one thing is for sure you touched many lives!! You were definitely one of a kind and a very unique individual. I am happy you have been reunited with mom and hopefully there is a car show and a microphone up there for you. You lived life the way you wanted and had many projects you were working on until the day you left us.

Ferris Jay Dubach Jr. was born March 31, 1944 and passed May 14, 2020 peacefully in his sleep from natural causes. He was married to my mom, JoAnn Moser Dubach on August 26, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was born in Idaho Falls to Ferris Sr. and Marjorie Terry Dubach. He worked as a salesman in microfilm and insurance but spent the last 21 years retired working on his cars and projects.

Ferris was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He loved his cars, pedal cars, juke boxes, license plates (especially personalized ones), key chains, toys he made and anything else from the fifties. He was a stickler for details in his cars and yard and anyone who has helped him can attest to that. His greatest passion and love was “his people.” All of his friends and family that he would meet and visit with over the years at any event that he could bring a car and mingle. He loved to hold his own car shows, gather prizes for them and to be on the microphone.

His family consisted of his wife JoAnn (deceased), his son Mark (Heather), his grandkids Demi, Daxton (Jiselle), Savanna (Preston), Miranda (Mike and Riggley), Austin (Mikayla), Josh, Hayden and Noah. As well as his siblings Sue Anne (Monte Bonella), Nancy (Brent Smith), Peggy (Dean Perry (deceased)), Thomas Reese (Cheryl), Mary Molly (Earnie Bender (deceased)), John James (Mary), Charles Michael (deceased) and Maggie (Marc Cram). He is being cremated via his wishes and we will put him and my mom together at a later date.

A final Car Show/Celebration/Barbeque will be held in his honor May 24, 2020 at his home. We will have his cars and collections on display and welcome anyone who wants to bring their car out in support. Please come during the following times:

12-1 Family

1-4 Friends of Ferris and the Family

Please no flowers or donations! If you need the address please text me Mark @ 801-809-2471. Please come in casual attire, enjoy some food and visit because that is what he wanted. With the current health situation we will do everything in our power to protect everyone but if you prefer to just drive by and wave that is great as well. We are anticipated a possible parking issue but there are a few businesses just south of his home that will be closed with ample parking.

In closing Dad thanks for showing me the importance of living every moment to the fullest, never growing up, finding your passion and unconditional love. Until we meet again you will be in my thoughts regularly.

Love Always and Forever Your Son Mark
